GBH: is a retail and mass retail group, with various activities. main franchises of the group are Carrefour, Decathlon, Mr Bricolage, Renault, Volkwagen, Mercedes, Hyundai, Hertz, Danone (production site), ….

Group loyalty and customer management system (CRM):
For Mr Bricolage, Carrefour, Yves Rocher, Inova. implementation of “VLL Lasersymag”, this software manage through the web a 130 000 customers data base, and calculating real customer fidelity advantage over the 180 cash register of the different business.
To implement VLL we had to change Point of sale system , so we implement POS software from the same editor “VLP Lasersymag”.

Brioche Dorée: Full information system change:
POS: change to TCPOS Swiss POS software specialized in food retail (used in Paul boulangerie, Pizza hut…).
ERP: implementation of full Sage X3 suite accounting, controlling, stock management, sales.

Hertz car rental: implementation of Sage X3 accounting and controlling module. building interface with all group standard group (Hyperion, XRT, Abel asset management (X3 sage based)

REP Tires retailer (Michelin): ERP implementation of full Sage X3 suite accounting, controlling, stock management, sales.
BI: SQL Server 2008

Overall: for all the company of the group, SQL server 2008 was the standard reporting tool, so we widely implement cubes for each business.

My Point of view about this position:

Pros:
There are some good point to work in a small overseas area as a project manager.
First Flexibility, as it is usually small to medium size business, your scope is really wide, you have to go in every detail on each part of the business (accounting, controlling, sales, stocks…).
Autonomy, as you are isolated from the rest of the world (distance, time lag) well you have to make it work anyway, so sometime you have to be pretty creative to get the job done (no one is going to help you) even if sometime it feel a bit like makeshift-job.
Relationship with co worker feel more like friend and family relationship than just co-workers. we are all in the same boat, which must keep forward.
New skills: thank to that experience I acquired new skill, on accounting and controlling.

Software: Sage X3, “VLL Lasersymag”, TCPOS, and mainly Microsoft SQL server 2008

cons:
well as we are isolated, when you have to make a technology choice, you usually go for an well-tried technology more than a fancy breakthrough techno. well that a bit hard for the geek inside me, i miss japan for that part.
